Credits are the in-platform currency used on GT Setu to pay for collaborations and company verification. This guide explains how the credit system works, how to track your usage, and how to purchase more credits when needed.
What Credits Are Used For
| Action | Credits Required |
|---|---|
| Company Verification | 1 Credit |
| Activating a Collaboration (per company) | 14 Credits |
| Sending an interest request | Free |
| Viewing a company profile | Free |
| Accepting a request | Free |
| Signing the NDA | Free |
Credits are only consumed at two points: when your company profile is verified, and when you proceed to payment on a collaboration.
The Credits Dashboard
Click Credits in the left sidebar to view your credit account. At the top of the page, three summary cards show your credit status at a glance.
Total Credits Purchased
The cumulative number of credits you have ever purchased since creating your account. This number only goes up and does not decrease when credits are spent. It is your historical total.
Credits Consumed
The total number of credits spent across all transactions. This includes collaborations, company verification, and any other credit-consuming actions. Use this to track your overall platform investment.
Credit Balance
Your current available credits — what you can spend right now. This is calculated as Total Purchased minus Credits Consumed. When credits are refunded (for example, when a collaboration does not proceed), the refunded amount is added back to this balance.
Transaction History — Credits Consumed Tab
Below the summary cards, the Credits Consumed tab shows a detailed transaction log. Each entry in the log includes:
- Credits amount — e.g. “14 Credits Consumed” or “1 Credits Consumed”
- Company code — the anonymous company code associated with the transaction (shown as a pill/badge), or a dash if it is a non-company transaction like Company Verification
- Date — the date the transaction was processed (e.g. 20 March 2026)
- Transaction type — shown on the right side in green text: either “Collaboration” or “Company Verification”
Purchase History Tab
Switch to the Purchase History tab to see a record of all credit purchases — when you bought credits, how many, and the amount paid.
Credit Pricing
| Type | Credits | Price (INR) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Credit | 1 | ₹500 |
| Company Verification | 1 | ₹500 (one-time) |
| Collaboration (per company) | 14 | ₹7,000 |
You can buy any number of credits in a single purchase. There is no minimum or maximum per transaction.
How to Purchase Credits
Step 1 — Open the Purchase Credits page
On the Credits page, click the blue Buy Credits button at the top right of the screen. This takes you to the Purchase Credits page.
Step 2 — Understand the pricing reference
At the top of the Purchase Credits page, two reference panels summarize the credit requirements:
Company Verification — 1 Credit required | 1 Credit = ₹500
Collaboration — 14 Credits required | 14 Credits = ₹7,000
These are displayed for reference to help you decide how many credits to buy.
Step 3 — Enter the number of credits
In the “Add credits to purchase?” field, type the number of credits you want to buy. As you type, the price summary below auto-calculates:
- Price per credit: ₹500
- Number of credits entered: your quantity
- Total: the final amount in Rupees
For example, entering 15 shows: 1 credit × ₹500 = ₹500 per credit, 15 credits total = ₹7,500.
Step 4 — Click Check out
Once you have entered a valid quantity, the Check out button becomes active. Click it to proceed to the payment gateway.
Payment Options (via Razorpay)
GT Setu uses Razorpay — a leading Indian payment gateway — for all credit purchases. A secure Razorpay payment pop-up will appear, showing your price summary on the left and payment options on the right.
UPI (Recommended)
Pay using any UPI-enabled app. Two options are available:
- UPI QR Code — A scannable QR code is displayed with a short countdown timer (typically around 12 minutes). Open any UPI app on your phone, tap “Scan QR” or “Pay via QR,” and scan the code to complete the payment instantly. Compatible apps include Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and any other UPI-enabled application.
- UPI – Google Pay (Recommended) — Click this option to complete the payment directly through Google Pay on your device without needing to scan.
Cards
Pay using a Credit Card or Debit Card. Supported networks include Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, and Maestro. Enter your card number, expiry date, CVV, and complete OTP verification as prompted by your bank.
EMI
Pay in monthly installments using an eligible Credit Card or Debit Card with an EMI facility. After selecting this option, you will see the available EMI tenures (e.g. 3 months, 6 months, 12 months) and the applicable interest rate, if any.
Netbanking
Pay directly from your bank account using internet banking. A list of supported banks is shown — including HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak, and many more. Select your bank, log in to your internet banking portal as prompted, and authorize the payment.
Wallet
Pay using a supported mobile wallet if you have a balance in one. Supported wallets typically include Paytm Wallet, Amazon Pay, Mobikwik, and Freecharge. Select your wallet, and the payment will be deducted from your wallet balance.
After Payment is Completed
Once your Razorpay payment is successful:
- The credits are added to your GT Setu wallet immediately.
- Your Credit Balance on the Credits dashboard updates to reflect the new balance.
- A record appears in your Purchase History tab.
- You can now use your credits for collaborations or any other credit-requiring action.
Credit Refunds
Credits can be refunded in the following scenarios:
Collaboration not completed — If you pay 14 credits for a collaboration but the other party does not pay or sign the NDA within 14 days, your 14 credits are automatically refunded to your wallet. No action is needed from you.
Mutual non-completion — If both parties paid but neither signed the NDA within the time window, both parties receive full refunds.
Refunded credits appear in your Credit Balance immediately and can be used for future collaborations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do credits expire? Credits do not expire once purchased. They remain in your wallet until used.
Can I get a cash refund for unused credits? Credits are non-refundable as cash. They can only be used within the GT Setu platform or refunded as credits when a collaboration does not proceed.
What if I don’t have enough credits to accept a collaboration? You will not be able to confirm payment on the Confirm Credit Usage pop-up. Purchase more credits first and then return to the collaboration to complete payment.
Is the payment gateway secure? Yes. All payments are processed by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest standard for payment security in India.
