If you wish to change your GTsetu account password, you can do so at any time from the Settings page. This is also the recommended action if you suspect your account credentials have been compromised.
Accessing the Reset Password Option
- Click Settings at the bottom of the left navigation menu
- On the Settings page, locate the Reset Password card
- Click the Reset Password link within the card
A Reset Password dialog will appear over the screen.
Completing the Reset Password Form
The dialog contains three fields:
Old Password
Enter your current password — the one you use to log in today. This step verifies that it is you making the change and not an unauthorised party who has accessed your device.
New Password
Enter the new password you wish to use going forward. Requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- For strongest security, use a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols (e.g., @, !, #, $)
Confirm New Password
Re-enter the new password exactly as typed in the field above. Both entries must match for the change to be saved.
Saving the Change
Once all three fields are filled in correctly, click the Save button. If the old password is correct and the new passwords match, your password will be updated immediately.
To cancel without making any changes, click the Cancel button or close the dialog.
Forgot Your Password?
If you have been locked out of your account and cannot remember your current password, use the Forgot Password link on the login screen. GTsetu will send a password reset link to your registered email address.
If you do not receive the reset email, check your spam folder or contact support at support@gtconnect.com.

- Change your password periodically as a security best practice
- Do not reuse passwords from other platforms or services
- Do not share your password with colleagues — each user should have their own login credentials
- If you are using a shared device, always log out after your session.
