Building Your Company Profile

Your company profile is what other trade partners see when they discover or review your business on GT Setu. A complete, detailed profile significantly increases the chances of finding the right collaboration partners. This page walks you through all three methods to build your profile.

The Profile Builder

After your first login, you will be taken to the Company Profile Builder at platform.gtsetu.com/create-profile. A pop-up will appear immediately asking how you want to create your profile.

The profile builder is organized into two tabs:

  • Company Profile — your business information, capabilities, and contact details
  • Images and Documents — product images, certifications, and supporting documents

On the right side of the screen, a Profile Completeness indicator tracks how complete your profile is. A more complete profile is ranked higher in discovery and shown to more potential partners.

Choosing Your Method

When you first open the profile builder, a pop-up presents two primary options:

Create Profile with AI — GT Setu’s AI reads your company website or brochure and auto-fills your entire profile. Fastest option and recommended for most users.

Skip & Create Manually — Fill in all profile fields yourself without any AI assistance. Suitable if you prefer full control or do not have a website or brochure ready.

Method 1 — Create Profile with AI Using Your Website

This is the recommended method if your company has a website with clear information about your products, services, and capabilities.

How it works:

  1. In the pop-up, click Create Profile with AI.
  2. A new screen appears titled “Create Your Company Profile with GT Setu AI.”
  3. In the Company Website URL field, enter your company’s full website address. Include https:// at the beginning. Example: https://www.yourcompany.com
  4. Click Generate Profile with AI.
  5. A loading overlay appears on the screen with the message: “GT Setu AI is generating your profile — Do not refresh or close this page.” Below it, a progress status reads “Analyzing your company information.”
  6. Wait for the process to complete. The AI will visit your website, extract relevant content, and auto-fill your profile sections.

What the AI generates from your website:

  • Company overview and description
  • Products and services offered
  • Manufacturing capabilities
  • Geographic coverage and export capabilities
  • Contact information

Once the AI finishes, your profile fields will be populated. Review each section carefully, make corrections where needed, and save your profile.

This method works best when your website has a dedicated About Us page, a Products or Services section, and a Contact page. The more structured and detailed your website, the more accurate the AI output.

Method 2 — Create Profile with AI Using a Company Brochure

If you have a company brochure or product catalogue in PDF format, you can upload it instead of (or alongside) providing a website URL.

How it works:

  1. Click Create Profile with AI in the pop-up.
  2. On the AI profile generator screen, click the Upload PDF area (the box with a cloud/upload icon showing “Upload PDF — Max 4MB”).
  3. Select your company brochure or product catalogue PDF from your device. The file must be under 4MB in size.
  4. Optionally, you can also enter your website URL in the field above — providing both gives the AI more information to work with.
  5. Once your file is selected (and/or your URL is entered), the Generate Profile with AI button becomes active. Click it.
  6. Wait for the AI to process your brochure and auto-fill your profile.

Ensure your brochure PDF is a clear, readable document — not a low-resolution scan. Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. If your brochure is larger than 4MB, compress it before uploading.

Method 3 — Create Profile Manually

If you prefer to enter all your profile information yourself, or if you do not have a website or brochure ready:

  1. In the pop-up, click Skip & Create Manually — or click the same link at the bottom of the AI generator screen.
  2. All profile fields will be blank and available for manual input.

Key Profile Fields Explained

Company Logo Upload your company’s official logo. Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Recommended size: under 2MB. A logo makes your profile appear professional and builds trust with trade partners.

Company Legal Name Your company’s full registered legal name, exactly as it appears on your incorporation or registration documents. This field is usually pre-filled from your registration data but can be corrected here.

Example: Belekar Exports Pvt Ltd

Trade Name / DBA (Doing Business As) If your company trades under a name different from its legal name, enter that trade name here. Leave this blank if both names are the same.

Example: BelExports

Country The country of your company’s headquarters. Usually pre-filled from your registration details.

Registration Identifier Your official government-issued registration number. This should match what you entered during signup. For Indian companies, this could be CIN, GSTIN, UDYAM, or IEC depending on your business type.

Registration ID Type A dropdown to specify the type of registration ID you entered — for example, GST, CIN, UDYAM, IEC.

Company Website Your official website URL. Must start with https://

Example: https://www.yourcompany.com

Company Email Pre-filled from your registration email. This is the primary contact email visible to trade partners after a collaboration is activated.

Phone Number Your company’s main contact phone number, including the country code.

Example: +91 20 12345678

What Happens After You Save Your Profile

Once your profile is submitted:

  • The GT Setu verification team reviews your registration documents and profile.
  • Your profile status changes from Pending Verification to Verified once approved.
  • A verified profile (shown with a blue tick badge) is visible to trade partners across the GT Setu network.
  • You can now use the Discover section to find partners, send interest requests, and begin the collaboration process.

Keep your profile updated. Trade partners review your profile before deciding whether to collaborate. Accurate information about your products, capabilities, and certifications increases match quality.
