Applying for Verification (KYB)

Verification is the gateway to full platform functionality. It confirms that your business is legitimate and compliant, and unlocks the ability to connect with other verified companies.

The process is called KYB — Know Your Business verification.


How to Apply

  1. Go to My Profile in the left sidebar
  2. Click the Apply for Verification button at the top-right of the Company Profile page
  3. A confirmation dialog will appear — read the Verification Requirements listed
  4. Click Proceed to submit your profile for review

What the Verification Dialog Shows

Before you confirm, the dialog displays three key requirements:

Read these carefully before clicking Proceed.


What Happens After You Submit

Once submitted, the GTsetu compliance team begins the KYB review. The review includes two stages:

Stage 1: System Verification

An automated check is run against government records to validate your company’s registration details. For Indian companies, this includes:

  • Cross-checking your company name against MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) records
  • Validating your CIN or GST registration number
  • Confirming the company’s active status
  • Verifying the registered address and date of incorporation

If the system check passes, you will see a System Verification Result dialog with details such as:

Important: Your company status must show as ACTIVE for verification to proceed successfully.

Stage 2: Compliance Review

The GTsetu compliance team manually reviews your submitted documents (Authority Letter or Affidavit) alongside the system verification data. This stage takes up to 2–3 business days.


After Verification is Approved

Once the compliance team approves your KYB review:

  • Your profile status changes from DRAFT to VERIFIED
  • A green Verified badge appears on your profile
  • The Apply for Verification button disappears from your profile page
  • You can now send collaboration requests, receive interest from other companies, and access full contact details of matched partners

If Verification is Rejected

If your documents do not match or are incomplete, the compliance team will notify you with the reason. You can update your documents and reapply.
