The Questionnaire tab is where you access and complete the Compatibility Assessment for your collaboration. It is one of the most important features of the Collaboration Workspace, designed to help both companies understand how well-aligned they are before investing further in the partnership.
Why the Questionnaire Matters
The questionnaire is not a formality — it is a structured diagnostic tool that surfaces both agreements and differences between the two companies across five critical areas of a collaboration. Completing it gives both parties a data-driven foundation for making informed decisions about how to proceed.
The Three States of the Questionnaire Tab
When you open the Questionnaire tab, you will see one of three states depending on where both parties currently stand:
State 1 — Questionnaire Not Completed
What you see: An exclamation icon with the message: “Questionnaire Not Completed — Please complete the questionnaire to proceed with the collaboration assessment.” A blue Open Questionnaire button is displayed.
What this means: You have not yet submitted your questionnaire responses. Click Open Questionnaire to begin.
State 2 — Submitted, Waiting for Partner
What you see: A clock icon with the message: “Waiting for Partner — Your responses have been recorded. Results will be available once your collaboration partner submits their questionnaire.” The tab also displays your submitted responses below for reference, with the label SUBMITTED shown at the top.
What this means: You have completed the questionnaire. Your partner has not yet submitted their responses. The compatibility analysis will remain hidden until both sides have submitted.
State 3 — Both Parties Submitted
What you see: The label BOTH PARTIES SUBMITTED appears at the top of the tab. The full Compatibility Summary is displayed with scores for Alignment, Discussion, Key Decision, and Clarification across all five sections.
What this means: Both companies have submitted the questionnaire. The compatibility analysis is now visible to both parties, and the full Collaboration Report is available to download.
Locked Features Until Both Submit
Even after the workspace is open, the following remain inaccessible until both parties have submitted the questionnaire:
- The Compatibility Summary scores (Alignment, Discussion, Key Decision, Clarification)
- The section-by-section breakdown of where both parties agree or differ
- The full downloadable Collaboration Report
Skipping the Questionnaire
You may exit the questionnaire at any point using the Skip for now button. Your progress up to that point is saved. However:
- The compatibility results will not be calculated until you return and submit
- The features listed above will remain locked
- Your partner is not notified if you skip — they will simply see that you have not yet submitted
It is strongly recommended to complete the questionnaire as early as possible to unlock the full value of the collaboration workspace.
